- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l

If a person is convicted of a violation of section 353 or of a local ordinance substantially corresponding to section 353(1) or (2), a report of the conviction shall be forwarded by the court in which the conviction occurred to the United States department of transportation. The form of the report shall be prescribed and furnished by the department of state police.
