An application for the appointment of a railroad police officer shall be accompanied by a fee of $100.00 and by 2 photographs of and other identification information concerning the person named in the application, including fingerprints of the person, which fingerprints shall be classified by the bureau of identification of the department of state police and shall remain with that bureau as a permanent record.
