Terms Used In Michigan Laws 483.117
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Nothing in this act contained shall be construed to vest the commission with regulatory control and authority over any natural gas utility owned and operated by a municipal corporation nor to in any way infringe upon the authority of the duly constituted official bodies having charge of such municipally owned utilities.
