Terms Used In Michigan Laws 484.2211

  • Commission: means the Michigan public service commission. See Michigan Laws 484.2102
  • provider: means a person that for compensation provides 1 or more telecommunication services. See Michigan Laws 484.2102
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
     Each telecommunication provider of a regulated service in this state shall pay an assessment in an amount equal to the expenses of the commission pursuant to Act No. 299 of the Public Acts of 1972, being section 460.111 to 460.120 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.
