Terms Used In Michigan Laws 500.1419
- Insurer: means an individual, corporation, association, partnership, reciprocal exchange, inter-insurer, Lloyds organization, fraternal benefit society, or other legal entity, engaged or attempting to engage in the business of making insurance or surety contracts. See Michigan Laws 500.106
This chapter shall take effect on June 1, 1991. An insurer shall not use the services of a managing general agent on and after June 1, 1991, unless such use is in compliance with this chapter.
