An insurer, agent, solicitor, or other person that violates section 2064 or 2066 is guilty of a misdemeanor. On conviction of violating section 2066, the offender must be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $100.00 for each violation, or in the discretion of the court, to imprisonment in the county jail of the county in which the offense is committed. On conviction of violating section 2064, the offender must be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $2,000.00 for each violation, or in the discretion of the court, to imprisonment in the county jail of the county in which the offense is committed.
