Terms Used In Michigan Laws 750.108

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
     Removing boat from fastenings, etc.—Any person who shall wilfully remove any ship, boat or vessel from their fastenings moored upon any lake, river, or watercourse in this state, without the consent of the owner, or who shall maliciously loose any ship, boat or vessel fastened by lock, chains or other fastening to the bank or shore of any lake, river or watercourse, and suffer the same to float away without the consent of the owner or person having in charge said ship, boat or vessel, or who shall rent or hire any such ship, boat or vessel, and shall without any cause leave such ship, boat or vessel, and abandon the same without giving the owner or owners, or person having charge thereof, notice of such abandonment, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
