Terms Used In Michigan Laws 81.1
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
That all cities within the state of Michigan heretofore incorporated and made subject to the provisions of this act or which shall hereafter be incorporated under the provisions of this act, and containing a population not exceeding 10,000 according to the last preceding federal or state census, shall be cities of the fourth class.
