Terms Used In Michigan Laws 88.11
- city: whenever used in this act , shall be construed to mean a city incorporated under this act, or made subject to its provisions. See Michigan Laws 113.10
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
The council shall have control of the finances and of all property of the city corporation, except as may be otherwise provided by law.
