Terms Used In Michigan Constitution Article I Section 10 - Attainder; ex post facto laws; impairment of contracts

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
     No bill of attainder, ex post facto law or law impairing the obligation of contract shall be enacted.
