Terms Used In Minnesota Statutes 116J.82

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

A consolidated hearing shall be conducted in a manner consistent with sections 14.001 to 14.69, and the applicable rules of the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Subd. 3.Prehearing conference.

The Office of Administrative Hearings, with the consent of the agencies having license jurisdiction, may provide for a prehearing conference to assist in the disposition of the type, time, place, and parties of the consolidated hearing, the simplification of the issues, the stipulations as to agreed facts and necessary documents, and other relevant matters.
