Notwithstanding the provisions of section 473.671 or any other provision of sections 473.601 to 473.679, any tax levy required to be made to pay debt service on any bonds heretofore or hereafter issued by the commission shall not be restricted to the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul but shall be levied against all the taxable property in the metropolitan area in accordance with the provisions of section 473.667.

- area: means the area over which the Metropolitan Council has jurisdiction, including only the counties of Anoka; Carver; Dakota excluding the cities of Northfield and Cannon Falls; Hennepin excluding the cities of Hanover and Rockford; Ramsey; Scott excluding the city of New Prague; and Washington. - Tax: means any fee, charge, exaction, or assessment imposed by a governmental entity on an individual, person, entity, transaction, good, service, or other thing. See Minnesota Statutes 645.44
