A person who willfully and knowingly makes a false statement in an affidavit made under section 629.67 is guilty of perjury under section 609.48.

Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
Person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Minnesota Statutes 645.44
