Subdivision 1.Applicability.
The definitions in this section apply to sections 103F.201 to 103F.227.
Subd. 2.Commissioner.

- Public waters: means public waters as defined in section 103G. See Minnesota Statutes 645.44

“Commissioner” means the commissioner of natural resources.
Subd. 3.Municipality.
“Municipality” means a statutory or home rule charter city.
Subd. 4.Shoreland.
“Shoreland” means land located within the following distances from the ordinary high water elevation of public waters:
(1) land within 1,000 feet from the normal high watermark of a lake, pond, or flowage; and
(2) land within 300 feet of a river or stream or the landward side of a floodplain delineated by ordinance on the river or stream, whichever is greater.
