Minnesota Statutes 115A.07 – Duties; General
Subdivision 1.Interagency coordination.
The commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency shall inform the commissioner of employment and economic development of the agency’s activities.

Subd. 3.Uniform waste statistics; rules.
The commissioner, after consulting with local government units and other interested persons, may adopt rules to establish uniform methods for collecting and reporting waste reduction, generation, collection, transportation, storage, recycling, processing, and disposal statistics necessary for proper waste management and for reporting required by law. Prior to publishing proposed rules, the commissioner shall submit draft rules to the senate and house committees having jurisdiction over environment and natural resources and environment and natural resources finance for review and comment. Rules adopted under this subdivision apply to all persons and units of government in the state for the purpose of collecting and reporting waste-related statistics requested under or required by law.
