Terms Used In Minnesota Statutes 243.161

  • Adult: means an individual 18 years of age or older. See Minnesota Statutes 645.451
  • Person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Minnesota Statutes 645.44
  • Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
  • state: extends to and includes the District of Columbia and the several territories. See Minnesota Statutes 645.44

Any person who is on parole, probation, or other form of correctional supervision in another state who resides in this state in violation of the terms or rules of the interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision described in section 243.1605 may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than five years or to payment of a fine of not more than $10,000, or both.
