In all cases under this chapter, if judgment be rendered in favor of the plaintiff, the master, owner, agent, or consignee of the boat or vessel, and any other person interested, may appeal from the orders or judgment of the court as in other cases.
Terms Used In Minnesota Statutes 579.07
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Minnesota Statutes 645.44
- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
