If section 60A.173 is determined by a final, nonappealable order of any Minnesota or federal court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unconstitutional, section 60A.172 is effective May 29, 1987.

Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
