Terms Used In Missouri Laws 137.1030

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Property: includes real and personal property. See Missouri Laws 1.020

In the event a final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction shall find that all or portions of this act* is not enforceable, then without further action by the general assembly, the procedure for the assessing, adjusting and equalizing the distributable property of the freight line companies shall be the same procedure as provided in sections 137.975 to 137.985.
