- Litigation: A case, controversy, or lawsuit. Participants (plaintiffs and defendants) in lawsuits are called litigants.
The expenses necessarily incurred by the director of revenue, and by the attorney general, and his assistants in charge of litigation that may arise hereunder, shall be paid out of appropriations made by the general assembly for that purpose.
