Notwithstanding any direct or implied prohibitions in chapter 375 or 379, a group of two or more private associations, corporations, or institutions not operated for private or corporate profit authorized by law to provide or operate educational facilities and to provide a program of education beyond the high school level in the state of Missouri, and which meet the standards for accreditation as determined by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools or the Coordinating Board for Higher Education, may form an association for the purpose of pooling funds in order to share the types of risks described in section 176.510.
