Terms Used In Missouri Laws 188.070

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • Physician: any person licensed to practice medicine in this state by the state board of registration for the healing arts. See Missouri Laws 188.015

Any physician or other person who fails to maintain the confidentiality of any records or reports required under sections 188.010 to 188.085 is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished as provided by law.
