- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The jurisdiction of the city, town or village in or near which such public hospital is located shall extend over all lands used for hospital purposes outside the corporate limits if so located, and all ordinances of such cities and towns shall be in full force and effect in and over the territory occupied by such public hospital.
