- Joint meeting: An occasion, often ceremonial, when the House and Senate each adopt a unanimous consent agreement
In cases not otherwise provided for by law, depositions may be taken and read in either house, or before a committee thereof, or before both houses in joint meeting, in all cases where the taking and reading depositions would be allowed in any case pending before any court of law.
