- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
All persons placed upon probation, parole or conditional release from any county jail or county correctional facility shall upon request of the authority concerned, as a term of such county probation, parole, or conditional release, repay the county for medicine, dental care, or medical attention as provided in section 221.120.
