- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Every such district organized under the provisions of sections 233.010 to 233.165 shall be a body corporate and possess the usual powers of a corporation for public purposes, and shall be known and styled “______ special road district of ______ County”, as may be designated by the county commission by order of record, and in that name shall be capable of suing and being sued and of contracting and being contracted with.
