Terms Used In Missouri Laws 265.020
- Agricultural products: shall include horticultural, viticultural, dairy, bee, and any farm product. See Missouri Laws 265.010
- Director: means the director of the department of agriculture of Missouri. See Missouri Laws 265.010
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
In order to promote, protect, further, and develop the agricultural interests of this state the director is hereby authorized and empowered after investigation and public hearing to fix and promulgate rules for grading and classifying any or all agricultural products grown or produced in this state and to fix and promulgate rules for containers of farm products and change any of them from time to time. No rule or portion of a rule promulgated under the authority of this chapter shall become effective unless it has been promulgated pursuant to the provisions of section 536.024.
