Terms Used In Missouri Laws 30.410

  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

If the state treasurer shall willfully and unlawfully refuse to pay any warrant lawfully drawn upon the treasury, when there is money in the fund upon which the warrant is drawn to pay the same, he shall forfeit and pay to the holder thereof fourfold the amount of such warrant, to be recovered by civil action against the treasurer and his sureties on the official bond, or otherwise, according to law; and the treasurer shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor in office.
