  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.

All money held in the health care providers fund shall be transferred to the “Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy Fund” which is hereby created. The provisions of section 33.080 to the contrary notwithstanding, money in the Missouri board of occupational therapy fund shall not be transferred and placed to the credit of general revenue until the amount in the fund at the end of the biennium exceeds three times the amount of appropriation from the fund for the preceding fiscal year. All fees shall be set at an amount which shall not substantially exceed the cost of administering sections 324.050 to 324.089.
