Missouri Laws 327.629 – Licensure as professional landscape architect required to practice, exceptions
Terms Used In Missouri Laws 327.629
- Architect: any person authorized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter to practice architecture in Missouri, as the practice of architecture is defined in section 327. See Missouri Laws 327.011
- Board: the Missouri board for architects, professional engineers, professional land surveyors and professional landscape architects. See Missouri Laws 327.011
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Corporation: any general business corporation, professional corporation or limited liability company. See Missouri Laws 327.011
- Person: any individual, corporation, firm, partnership, association or other entity authorized to do business. See Missouri Laws 327.011
- Professional landscape architect: any person authorized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter to practice as a professional landscape architect in Missouri as the practice of landscape architecture is defined in section 327. See Missouri Laws 327.011
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
No person shall practice as a professional landscape architect in Missouri as defined in section 327.600 unless and until the board has issued to him or her a license or certificate of authority certifying that he or she has been duly licensed as a professional landscape architect in Missouri, and unless such licensure has been renewed as provided in section 327.621; provided, however, that nothing in sections 327.600 to 327.635 shall be construed to require licensing of a person or corporation who is offering, but not performing or rendering, landscape architectural services if the person or corporation is licensed to practice landscape architecture in the state or country of residence or principal place of business. No person shall hold themselves out to be a professional landscape architect unless licensed pursuant to the provisions of sections 327.600 to 327.635.
