Terms Used In Missouri Laws 33.110
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- following: when used by way of reference to any section of the statutes, mean the section next preceding or next following that in which the reference is made, unless some other section is expressly designated in the reference. See Missouri Laws 1.020
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
The fiscal year of the state shall commence on July first and terminate on June thirtieth following, and the books, accounts and reports of the public officers shall be made to conform thereto; and all reports required by law to be made to the general assembly shall be made during the first twenty days after the meeting of the general assembly.
