- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
No public agency may authorize, provide for, or make any payment to any vendor or contractor upon any contract in violation of section 34.353. At time of bid and before any public agency authorizes, provides, or makes payment to any vendor or contractor upon any contract to which section 34.353 or 34.359 applies, the vendor or contractor shall provide proof of compliance with section 34.353 and, if applicable, section 34.359. Any vendor or contractor who knowingly misrepresents any material fact to the public agency concerning the origin of any manufactured goods or commodities shall be guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
