Terms Used In Missouri Laws 351.376
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Registered office: means that office maintained by the corporation in this state, the address of which is on file in the office of the secretary of state. See Missouri Laws 351.015
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
Any registered agent of a corporation may resign as such agent upon filing a written notice thereof, executed in duplicate, with the secretary of state, who shall forthwith mail the copy thereof to any officer of the corporation at his address as last known to the secretary of state, other than such registered office. Such resignation shall become effective upon the expiration of thirty days after receipt of such notice by the secretary of state.
