Terms Used In Missouri Laws 360.040
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
Any other provision of the law to the contrary notwithstanding, it shall not be or constitute a conflict of interest for a trustee, director, officer, employee, owner or partner of any health institution, educational institution, financial institution, investment banking firm, brokerage firm, commercial bank or trust company, architecture firm, insurance company, or any other firm, person, or corporation to serve as a member of the authority, provided such trustee, director, officer, employee, owner or partner shall abstain from deliberation, action, and vote by the authority in each instance where the business affiliation or any such trustee, director, officer, employee, owner or partner is involved.
