Terms Used In Missouri Laws 370.360

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020

The use by any person, copartnership, association or corporation, except credit unions formed under the provisions of this chapter or any association composed exclusively of credit unions, including any service corporation wholly owned by credit unions or an association of them, of any name or title which contains the words “credit union” shall be a misdemeanor.
