Terms Used In Missouri Laws 379.175

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

No insurance company, corporation or association of persons doing a fire, cyclone or tornado insurance business in this state, shall have the right, power or authority, by contract or otherwise, to contract against or in any manner whatever evade the provisions of sections 379.165 and 379.170.
