- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
Any person subject to sections 40.005 to 40.490 who, knowing that an offense punishable by sections 40.005 to 40.490 has been committed, receives, comforts, or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent the offender’s apprehension, trial, or punishment shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
