- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
The enactment of section 41.035 and the repeal and reenactment of section 650.005 of this act* shall become effective only upon approval by the voters of an amendment to article IV of the Constitution of Missouri that establishes the Missouri department of the National Guard.
