- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
Foreign business entities which have any owning interest or part in this business may be required to register with the secretary of state as prescribed. The foreign business entity may be required to first obtain a certificate of authority unless otherwise exempt by Missouri law.
