Terms Used In Missouri Laws 442.030
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Property: includes real and personal property. See Missouri Laws 1.020
- real estate: shall be construed as coextensive in meaning with lands, tenements and hereditaments, and as embracing all chattels real and as including a manufactured home as defined in section 700. See Missouri Laws 442.010
A husband and wife may convey the real estate of the husband or wife by their joint deed acknowledged and certified as herein provided. Where the property conveyed is owned by the husband and wife as an estate by the entirety, then both shall be bound by the covenants therein expressed or implied.
