- Domestic violence: abuse or stalking committed by a family or household member, as such terms are defined in this section. See Missouri Laws 455.010
- President pro tempore: A constitutionally recognized officer of the Senate who presides over the chamber in the absence of the Vice President. The President Pro Tempore (or, "president for a time") is elected by the Senate and is, by custom, the Senator of the majority party with the longest record of continuous service.
The highway patrol shall compile an annual report of homicides and suicides related to domestic violence. Such report shall be presented by March first of the subsequent year to the governor, speaker of the house of representatives, and president pro tempore of the senate.
