- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
It shall be the duty of the secretary of state to keep a record of all process served upon him, or his chief clerk, under the provisions of sections 506.200 to 506.320, which record will show the day and hour of service of every such process.
