- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
When an injunction to stay proceedings is prayed in the same court where the proceedings were had, no notice of the application shall be necessary, unless prescribed by rules of court.
