Terms Used In Missouri Laws 59.380

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • United States: includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

All patents for lands lying within the state of Missouri, granted to any person or persons by the President of the United States or the governor of this state, may be recorded in the office of the recorder of the county in which the lands are situated; and the recorder shall be allowed the same fees for recording such patents as are allowed by law for recording deeds or other instruments of writing.
