- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- DNA: deoxyribonucleic acid. See Missouri Laws 650.100
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
Any evidence leading to a conviction of a felony described in subsection 1 of section 650.055 which has been or can be tested for DNA shall be preserved by the investigating law enforcement agency.
