- Lawsuit: A legal action started by a plaintiff against a defendant based on a complaint that the defendant failed to perform a legal duty, resulting in harm to the plaintiff.
No lawsuit or any other type of legal action brought pursuant to the terms of sections 67.1600 to 67.1663 shall be sustainable in a court of law or equity unless all conditions, stipulations, and provisions of the program have been complied with, and unless the suit is brought within twelve months after the event which is the subject of the legal action.
