Terms Used In Missouri Laws 70.300

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Whenever the contracting party is a political subdivision of this state, the execution of all contracts shall be authorized by a majority vote of the members of the governing body. Each contract shall be in writing.
