Terms Used In Missouri Laws 71.100

  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Fee simple: Absolute title to property with no limitations or restrictions regarding the person who may inherit it.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Where any city, town or village in this state hath a common annexed to it, the trustees or body corporate of said city, town or village shall have authority to sell or convey, by deed in fee simple, all the common annexed to said city, town or village.
