- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
The members of the retirement board shall be compensated in full for all services rendered under the provisions of sections 86.900 to 86.1280 at the rate of ten dollars per business session actually attended but no member shall be so compensated in an amount exceeding one hundred fifty dollars in any fiscal year regardless of the amount of services rendered or the number of business sessions actually attended. The members of the board shall be reimbursed from the funds of the police retirement system for all necessary expenses which they may incur on such board, in addition to their compensation for services.
