Terms Used In Missouri Laws 95.170

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • hereafter: means the time after the statute containing it takes effect. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.

Whenever under any statute of this state or any charter of any municipal corporation, whether organized under special charter or not, in this state, any bonds are issued, whether the proceedings for the issuance of such bonds have been had in whole or in part prior to the enactment of this statute, such bonds may be issued either in the form of coupon bonds, or in the form of registered bonds, or some in the form of coupon bonds, and some in the form of registered bonds, as has been or hereafter may be provided in the proceedings for the issuance of such bonds, and notwithstanding any language or provision to the contrary contained in any such statute or charter authorizing the issuance of the bonds, or in any other law of the state. The provisions of section 95.165 shall apply to coupon bonds, so issued, as well as to other coupon bonds, or other bonds payable to bearer.
